Participation procedure

 

General Requirements

The VIII International Conference on Information Technology and Nanotechnology will be held in Samara (Russia) from May 23 to May 27, 2022. We invite the submission of original, unpublished papers on Conference topics. The deadlines for paper submitting are indicated in the Important Dates section.
The Conference has the following restrictions on the reports number: one person can be a co-author of no more than 4 papers and represent no more than 2 papers.

Instructions for Participants

Instructions for speakers:
- register in the e-submission system SciDeck and fill in all the required fields;
- submit an abstract through the SciDeck within the prescribed period;
- make corrections to the abstract according to the recommendations of the reviewers and the Program Committee within the prescribed period;
- receive the notification about paper acceptance;
- pass Online registration for participation in the Conference as a speaker in the SciDeck;
- pay the registration fee for each submitted paper within the prescribed period;
- submit to the Committee an agreement with an act for the payment of the registration fee within the prescribed period;
- present the talk at the Conference.

To submit papers to the Conference, you should use the Templates.
Authors have the opportunity to submit their work for publication in one of three ways:
- only abstracts in Russian or English in the local Proceedings (indexed in the RSCI);
- only an extended article in English in the IEEE Proceedings (indexed in Scopus/Web of Science);
- both variants.

If the authors do not plan to publish abstracts in a local Proceedings one should be guided by the requirements for extended English versions of paper and select the appropriate type of publication when submitting an application in the SciDeck. In other cases (publication only in a local Proceedings or in both Proceedings), the preparation of the paper should be guided by the requirements for abstracts.

Instructions for listeners:
- pass Online registration for participation in the Conference as a listener in the SciDeck;
- pay the registration fee for the listener within the prescribed period;
- take part in the Conference.

The Program Committee notifies that only registered participants who have paid the registration fee will receive full access to the Conference content, as well as Certificates and Diplomas. The only exceptions are participants who have a discount (for more details, see the Registration fees page).

The procedure for paying the registration fee is described in the section below.

Publication

Authors have the opportunity to submit their work for publication in one of three ways:
- only abstracts in Russian or English in the local Proceedings (indexed in the RSCI);
- only an extended article in English in the IEEE Proceedings (indexed in Scopus/Web of Science);
- both variants.

All papers presented at the Conference can be published in a local Proceedings of papers indexed by the RSCI. Based on the results of the Conference, the selected papers will be recommended for publication of their extended versions in the IEEE Proceedings (indexed in Scopus/Web of Science).

The paper must be presented by the author to be included in any Proceedings.

By decision of the Committee, an extended version of the work can be recommended for publication in one of the partner journals of the Conference (requirements for formatting and publication will be sent to the authors based on the recommendation to a particular journal).

Submission of abstract in local Proceedings

Submission of abstract to the local Proceedings will be done through SciDeck in the process of applying for participation in the Conference. If the authors do not plan to publish abstract in a local Proceedings, the appropriate publication type should be selected in the SciDeck system.

Requirements for abstract in the local Proceedings:
- the volume of the abstract should be 2 pages;
- the abstract should contain at least 30% of the new, never previously published material;
- the abstract should be formatted in accordance with the requirements of the template for abstracts, which will be provided by the section.

Conditions for abstract publishing in the local Proceedings (in addition to the procedure for participation as a speaker):
- submit an abstract in SciDeck within the prescribed period;
- make corrections to abstract according to the recommendations of the reviewers and the Program Committee within the prescribed period;
- receive notification of acceptance of the abstract in the local Proceedings

Please note that the Program Committee reserves the right to reject the abstract if:
- the deadlines and the order of abstract submission have been violated;
- the quality of the abstract does not correspond to the level of the Conference;
- the abstract has already been submitted / published in other sources;
- the abstract has significant differences from the version provided for the Conference.
- the talk is not presented at the Conference.

Submission of paper in IEEE Proceedings

Paper submissions to the IEEE Proceedings will be done through SciDeck in the paper submission section, which will be automatically available to authors after registration in the system.

Requirements for paper in the IEEE Proceedings:
- the volume of the paper should be from 4 to 8 pages;
- at least 70% of the originality of the article, no more than 10% of borrowing from one source;
- the paper should be formatted in accordance with the requirements of the IEEE template, which will be provided by the section.

Conditions for paper publishing in the IEEE Proceedings (in addition to the procedure for participation as a speaker):
- receive a recommendation from the Program Committee for publication in the IEEE Proceedings;
- submit a paper within the prescribed period;
- make corrections to paper according to the recommendations of the reviewers and the Program Committee within the prescribed period;
- receive notification of acceptance of the paper in the IEEE Proceedings;
- submit to the Committee the License Agreement for publication in time.

For the IEEE Proceedings, the Organizing Committee will need a License Agreements for each paper, which are signed electronically on the IEEE website. Information on them will be posted later.

Please note that the Program Committee reserves the right to reject the paper if:
- the deadlines and the order of paper submission have been violated;
- the quality of the paper does not correspond to the level of the Conference;
- the paper has already been submitted / published in other sources;
- the paper has significant differences from the version provided for the Conference.
- the talk is not presented at the Conference.

Online Registration

Online registration is necessary for everyone who wants to take part in the Conference. Both speakers and listeners must register online (see the Instructions for Participants). Only one speaker can be registered for one talk. The co-authors who wish to take direct part in the Conference must register as a listener. One speaker can present no more than 2 talks. Receipts for payment of the registration fee will be available to participants only after Online registration.

Registration Fee Payment

Registration fees are paid after the list of accepted papers in the Proceedings is announced. Registered participants will receive a Receipt filled in according to the data specified in SciDeck accounts.

Presentation Guidelines

Due to epidemiological situation, the ITNT-2021 conference is planned in online format. In accordance with the requirements of the international non-profit association of technical specialists IEEE and the decision of the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, the following options are offered for the remote participation in the Conference:
1. for the authors of the papers accepted as oral at online sessions:
• and presentation in real time at the special online sessions organized on video conferencing platforms (Big Blue Button);
2. for the authors of the papers accepted as poster:
obligatory publication of the talk on the Conference online resources (VK, conference web-site) in the form of a poster;
online discussion of papers by posting comments under the talk materials using online services (VK) throughout the entire duration of the Conference.
3. all the authors of the accepted papers should complete the registration procedure till May 17, 2022 and upload presentations or posters to the registration page in SciDeck.
Presentations are accepted in the PDF. The maximum video size is 10 MB. Posters are accepted in PDF format with A1 size and quality of the pictures at least 300 dpi. Maximum PDF file size is 5 MB.
After posting materials on the Conference online resources and throughout the entire duration of ITNT-2022, the participants will be given the opportunity to address questions to the speakers:
• as part of the discussion at offline sessions at the Conference venue and at online sessions using video conferencing platforms (Big Blue Button);
• in the comments to the materials of the talks, which can be posted at the online resources of the Conference (VK, conference web-site) under the materials of the report;
• using the feedback function on the Conference website.
The time limit for speech is 30 minutes for plenary talk and 15 minutes for section talk including the presentation of the speaker and the time for questions. The languages of the Conference are English and Russian. Plenary talks are presented in English, section oral talks are presented in English (preferably) or Russian. Slides and posters are obligatory prepared in English.
We shall note that the presentation format does not affect the possibility of publishing of the extended versions of the papers in the English proceedings, however, we shall remind that presenting a papers at the Conference remains an obligatory requirement for your work to be included in the English-language proceedings of the Conference indexed in Scopus and/or WoS.
