Participation procedure

 

General Requirements

The VII International Conference on Information Technology and Nanotechnology will be held in Samara (Russia) from September 20 to September 24, 2021, at the 1st campus building of Samara University. We invite the submission of original, unpublished papers on Conference topics. The deadlines for paper submitting are indicated in the Important Dates section.
The Conference has the following restrictions on the reports number: one person can be a co-author of no more than 4 papers and represent no more than 2 papers.

Publication

After the Conference, selected papers will be recommended for publication in CEUR Workshop Proceedings (which is indexed in Scopus), IEEE Proceedings (which is indexed in Scopus/Web of Science) and in special issue of Journal of Biomedical Photonics & Engineering (which is indexed in Scopus). The paper must be presented on the Conference to be included in any Proceedings.

Authors of papers presented in this conference and within the scope of Sensors may submit a technically extended version to the special issue of the Sensors. The extended papers from conference should fulfill the requirements of the Sensors presented in one of the next section.

Instructions for Participants

Instructions for speakers:
- register in the electronic submission system (ESS) as a speaker;
- submit an abstract through the ESS system within the prescribed period;
- make corrections to the abstract according to the recommendations of the reviewers and the Program Committee within the prescribed period;
- receive the notification about paper acceptance;
- pass Online registration for participation in the Conference as a speaker in the ESS;
- pay the registration fee for each submitted paper within the prescribed period;
- present the talk at the Conference.
To submit papers to the Conference, you should use the Template for Abstracts. The volume of abstracts is 2 pages.
Please note that the Program Committee reserves the right to reject the paper if:
- the deadlines and the order of paper submission have been violated;
- the quality of the report does not correspond to the level of the Conference;
- the report has already been submitted / published in other sources.
Registration and payment of registration fees should be made after the acceptance notification.

The conditions for publishing papers in additional proceedings are discussed in the next section and supplement the procedure for participation as a speaker.

Instructions for listeners:
- pass Online registration for participation in the Conference as a listener in the ESS;
- pay the registration fee for the listener within the prescribed period;
- take part in the Conference.

The Program Committee notifies that only registered participants who have paid the registration fee will receive full access to the Conference content, as well as Certificates and Diplomas. The only exceptions are participants who have a discount (for more details, see the Registration fees page).

The procedure for paying the registration fee is described in the section below.

Submission of Paper

Submission of papers will be carried out through the ESS in a special form, which will be available to authors after sending notifications of acceptance for the Conference and invitation to the Proceedings.

Conditions for full-paper publishing in one of the Proceedings (in addition to the procedure for participation as a speaker):
- receive a recommendation from the Program Committee for publication in the Proceedings;
- submit a paper within the prescribed period;
- make corrections to paper according to the recommendations of the reviewers and the Program Committee within the prescribed period;
- receive notification of acceptance of the paper in the Proceedings;
- submit to the Committee the License Agreement for publication in time.

Requirements for paper in the Proceedings:
- the volume of the paper should be from 4 to 8 pages;
- the paper should contain at least 30% of the new, never previously published material;
- the paper should be formatted in accordance with the requirements of the template, which will be provided by the section.

For the Proceedings, the Organizing Committee will need a License Agreement for each article. Information on them will be posted later.

Please note that the Program Committee reserves the right to reject the work if:
- the deadlines and the order of paper submission have been violated;
- the quality of the paper does not correspond to the level of the Conference;
- the paper has already been submitted / published in other sources;
- the paper has significant differences from the version provided for the Conference.
- the talk is not presented at the Conference.

The Special Issue of the Sensors

Authors of papers presented in this conference and within the scope of Sensors may submit a technically extended version to the sepcial issue of Sensors. As an open access journal, Sensors has an Article Processing Charge of 2200 CHF for accepted papers.

The extended papers from conference should fulfill the following requirements:
1. The paper should have more than 50% new data and content. It will be much better if the Title and Abstract are different with that of conference paper, as that they can be differentiated in various databases.
2. The conference paper should be cited and mentioned in the first page of the paper.
3. If the authors do not hold the copyright of the published conference paper, authors should seek the appropriate permission from the copyright holder.
4. Authors are asked to disclose that it is conference paper in cover letter and include a statement on what has been changed compared to original conference paper.
Sensors (ISSN 1424-8220) is the leading international peer-reviewed open access journal on the science and technology of sensors and applications. Its Impact Factor 2019 is 3.275 and CiteScore 2020 is 5.8, increasing from 2019 5.0, which is an increase for three consecutive years. This corresponds to a ranking of Q1 in the category of ‘Instruments & Instrumentation’, Q2 in ‘Chemistry, Analytical’ and Q2 in the ‘Electrochemistry’. Online Registration

Online registration is necessary for everyone who wants to take part in the Conference. Both speakers and listeners must register online (see the Instructions for Participants). Only one speaker can be registered for one talk. The co-authors who wish to take direct part in the Conference must register as a listener. One speaker can present no more than 2 talks. Receipts for payment of the registration fee will be available to participants only after Online registration.

Registration Fee Payment

Registration fees are paid after the list of accepted papers in the Proceedings is announced. Registered participants will receive a Receipt filled in according to the data specified in their ESS accounts.

Presentation Guidelines

Due to epidemiological situation, the ITNT-2021 conference is planned in a mixed format: offline and online participation. In accordance with the requirements of the international non-profit association of technical specialists IEEE and the decision of the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, the following options are offered for the remote participation in the Conference:
1. for the authors of the papers accepted as oral at online sessions:
obligatory publication of video presentations on the Conference online resources (YouTube channel of the Conference);
presentation in real time at the special online sessions organized on video conferencing platforms (Megafon/Big Blue Button/Zoom services);
2. for the authors of the papers accepted as oral at offline sessions:
optional publication of video presentations on the Conference online resources (YouTube channel of the Conference);
presentation in real time at the special offline sessions organized in compliance with all measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection SARS Covid-19.
3. for the authors of the papers accepted as poster:
• obligatory publication of the talk on the Conference online resources (Miro) in the form of a poster;
online discussion of papers by posting comments under the talk materials using online services (Miro) throughout the entire duration of the Conference.
4. all the authors of the accepted papers shall complete the registration procedure till September 6, 2021; upload video presentations and/or posters to the registration page in SciDeck. The instructions for the preparation of materials and examples of a video presentation and a poster are available on the website. 5. Video presentations are accepted in the following formats: mp4, .mpeg4, .mov, .avi. The maximum video length is 12 minutes. The maximum video size is 400 MB. Posters are accepted in PDF format with A1 size and quality of the pictures at least 300 dpi. Maximum PDF file size is 10 MB.
After posting materials on the Conference online resources and throughout the entire duration of ITNT-2021, the participants will be given the opportunity to address questions to the speakers:
• as part of the discussion at offline sessions at the Conference venue and at online sessions using video conferencing platforms (Megafon/Big Blue Button/Zoom services);
• in the comments to the materials of the talks, which can be posted at the online resources of the Conference (Miro / YouTube) under the materials of the report;
• using the feedback function on the Conference website.
The time limit for speech is 30 minutes for plenary talk and 15 minutes for section talk including the presentation of the speaker and the time for questions. The languages of the Conference are English and Russian. Plenary talks are presented in English, section oral talks are presented in English (preferably) or Russian. Slides and posters are obligatory preared in English.
We shall note that the presentation format does not affect the possibility of publishing of the extended versions of the papers in the English proceedings, however, we shall remind that presenting a papers at the Conference remains an obligatory requirement for your work to be included in the English-language proceedings of the Conference indexed in Scopus and/or WoS.
